Kitty Update

I wanted to update you on our little kitty friend. The little kitty is doing well and growing. He is 4 weeks old now. Here are a couple shots of our little guy.

Been a While

It has been a while since I was able to post anything, life got pretty busy. Here are a few projects I have been working on:

I had been waiting forever it seems for the Karen Foster Countdown Calendar to be in stock. I finally got one from A Cherry On Top and couldn't wait to alter it. This is our Christmas Advent Calendar. I just need to fill up the little drawers with a surprise for the boys each day.

More Fun Projects

I have been busy all day (shhh don't tell anyone) at the A Cherry on Top weekend crop. It has been so much fun and I even won a couple prizes. Yea for me!!! I got a few more things done that I want to share: One is a sketch challenge, a Finnish star, a challenge with a photo of a "crime" and a Halloween layout based on a sketch.

A Cherry On Top in conjunction with Crop Scene Investigation is having a huge online crop this weekend. There is challenges, games, and lots of fun! Here are a couple projects I have completed so far. One is a grunge digital layout of Matthew, the next is a Christmas tag made with Stampin' Up products, and the last was a bookmark challenge made digitally.

New Layouts

I got some new layouts completed. Two were easy because they were quickpages from Cinzia Loosemore at Digital Freebies. Those are from Halloween night. My layout of Matthew and his teacher is also a digital layout using Cinzia Loosemore's kit Tales of the Night. The last layout is one I made using the foam stamps from Margo at Moments To Remember. They were my prize for winning one of the eye spy games at the fall crop.

I am so excited! My digital layout Loved that I made for the template challenge at A Cherry on Top was the challenge winner. I get a $5 gift certificate for designer Julie Mead. My other layout Blessed was the pick of the day on November 3rd at Moments to Remember.

Good Deeds

Sometimes doing a good deed can be more than you bargained for. We took a stray kitty in a couple weeks ago because it was so cold out and I couldn't leave it out there. The cat had to stay in the garage because of our two beagles. I noticed a couple days after we had her that she was pregnant (uh oh) and she looked way too young to be having kitties because I was guessing she is not even a yr old yet. Anyways, Halloween night she gave birth to two kitties. I brought them in and put them in the upstairs hall bath because I was worried she would move them somewhere not so safe in the garage plus I wanted them warm enough. Other than driving the dogs kind of crazy they seemed to be doing ok although not nursing the best. Well, last night one died. My boys were so upset. We are going to have a little kitty funeral tomorrow. I am hoping the other one makes it. I still don't know what we will do with them, hopefully find them a good home. (of course the boys want to keep them especially Matthew, he has wanted a kitty for a long time). Hopefully things will all work out.

My Soccer Star

Matthew has been playing on an indoor soccer team for preschoolers. They are really just learning the basics and get to scrimmage against each other for the last few minutes. Here are a few shots I took a couple weeks ago.

This past weekend was a fun on-line crop at Moments To Remember. I had a lot of fun and got a few layouts done thanks to the fantastic challenges. Here is a few of them.

The pictures were from the last couple of weekends when we went to a fall festival and to Apple Blossom Farm. The last is one I snapped when we went to the high school's homecoming parade and our neighbor friends went with us. We have had a lot of fun this month.

Fall Festival

We went to this little fall festival on Sunday and had lots of fun. The admission was free and so were some of the activities. We went with our friends and my mom. There was a hay rack ride, petting zoo, straw maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, just all kinds of things. They even had little fire pits to cook your own hot dogs and smores. Here are a few pics , hopefully I will get them on a layout this week.

Halloween Houses

I have been working on three Halloween houses that I made using Maya Road houses and papers and embellishments from Scenic Route and Imaginisce. Each of them houses a mini book that I am still working on. I am happy with the way they turned out.

First Post!

Yes, it's my very first post. Bear with me, I am new at this.
This month I have been working on Halloween gifts for my son's teachers and some of their best buddies and cousins. I have been using my new Stampin' Up Halloween stamps and their new paper. Here are a few pics:

Candy Bar Holders that will fit a small Hershey bar, Kit Kat bar or a Heath Bar. Crayon boxes that I covered with paper and then added the stamped images to the top. This was so easy to make. I just bought some cheapy crayons at the dollar store, painted the tops and bottoms, and covered it with some patterned paper. The last project is a coaster box made with five coasters, covered in pattered paper and tied together with some black twine. I filled it with Hershey's miniatures.
